Graphics & Sound:
The graphics in Moto Racer 2 are pretty good. The motorcycles and tracks are realistic looking, and some of the tracks are beautiful. As for the sound effects, they are nicely done, and closely tied with the dual shock feature, to provide a more realistic sensation.

Gameplay:
Moto Racer 2 is fun. If you like motorcycle racing games, this is a good choice. You can race on motocross-type tracks and paved race-type tracks, but there aren’t any “gimmicks” like weapons and such... just pure racing. There is one cool additional feature, however... the track editor. A 3D track editor is included which allows you to make your own tracks and try them out, and then race on them. If you enjoy hands-on game development, this alone is worth picking up the game. (Personally, I could spend hours and hours developing tracks and racing on them.) Moto Racer 2 makes use of the dual shock feature, and this adds greatly to the gameplay. Altogether, this game is a good choice, especially if you enjoy customizing gameplay.

Difficulty:
In Moto Racer 2, your opponents can be stiff competition... but if you like this type of game, a little practice should let you progress. And if you need more help, design some tracks the way YOU want them to be, and race against your opponents on them. That way, you know what’s coming up ahead, and you can design the track for the way you prefer to race.

Game Mechanics:
The physics engine in this game is nicely done. Some of the tricks that you can pull off in the motocross races (after performing a jump) seem unrealistic, but otherwise, the game plays true. The dual shock feature is exploited nicely in this game as well, adding to the gameplay. Moto Racer 2 is a nicely designed game -- no gimmicks, just good gameplay.
