Graphics & Sound:
Sweet! I'm tellin' ya, Crave Entertainment's SnoCross Championship Racing has some of the best racing graphics that I've seen. There is a bit of pop-up in the distance, but framerate and textures are great. And the quality of the sound is also very sweet. The crowd, the competition, and your own sled will have your speakers screaming, especially when hooked up to a stereo system.

Gameplay:
Whether you like the behind-the-sled view or you like to sit in the cockpit, any racing fan will love SnoCross. Modes of play include Exhibition, Championship, Head-to-Head, Hill Climbing, and a Track Editor. The Track Editor is very simple to use and will allow your creative juices to flow. Head-to-Head allows for two player split-screen racing, while Hill Climbing is a great edition and brings something new to the world of racing (this must be unlocked). All of this aside, Championship Mode is where the real fun is! Why? Well, because it is here that you need to unlock the other modes of play, as well as new tracks and higher-powered sleds. You will need to do well, however, as wear and tear on your snowmobile accumulates throughout the races, and you will need to earn money to repair old parts... and this is no easy task!

Difficulty:
VERY HARD! I will warn you right now. Frustration will set in soon after popping in your CD. My experience with Championship Mode is that it is impossible to earn enough money to repair the parts of your sled. You MUST finish first and this is no easy task. Actually, I never did it. I had to use cheat codes to unlock the game modes, tracks, and sleds! So, if you are looking for a game that will give you a bit of competition, SnoCross is for you!

Game Mechanics:
Simple enough - you can steer with either the analog or the standard directional pad, which also allows for leaning your driver forward or backward. Other than that, all you have to do is put the pedal to the medal and pull off a few tricks. Did I say tricks? Oh yeah, SnoCross Championship Racing also lets you perform tricks for extra cash. Pull them off correctly and you may just be able to buy that much-needed engine. Don't land the tricks and you'll be making snow angels on the ground. SnoCross Championship Racing is to date the best snowmobile racing game that I've played, so you will want to check it out!
