Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone: R. A. Salvatore and Atari Join Forces.
Company: Atari

Atari and New York Times best-selling author R. A. Salvatore have gotten together to bring the Dungeons and Dragons world of Forgotten Realms to the consoles with the game Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone. Salvatore is noted for his books in the D&D line as well as the Star Wars universe.

Demon Stone involves an adventuring party's accidental involvement in an ancient war between two demonic armies. One of these armies is lead by a Githyanki Princess and the other by a Slaad Lord. The group (your characters) unwittingly released the two demons into the world after countless centuries of imprisonment. And now you must fix this blunder and bring the world of Faerun back to normal.

Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone not only boasts the outstanding writing talents of R. A. Salvatore, but it will also host the voice acting of Patrick Stewart (X-Men, Star Trek: The Next Generation) as Khelban "Blackstaff" Aunsun and Michael Clarke Duncan (Daredevil, The Green Mile) as Slaad Lord Ygorl.

You will control three characters on your quest to save the land; these characters are made of a fighter, a sorcerer and a rogue. As you progress through the game, your characters will develop new skills and combos. The fighter will gain strength and combat skills, while the rogue will become stealthier and more proficient at lock picking and the sorcerer will learn a wider array of magic spells.

You will be able to switch between the three characters at will, and while you control one of the members of your team, the game's sophisticated AI will control the other two allowing them to help you in battle with out you having to control them directly.

And what about battle? You will be able to unleash linked combos, super attacks and for the more skilled gamer, group combos that will use all three members of your team to help dispatch even the toughest foes.

With the unique combination of acclaimed actors and writer, Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone promises to be the most extraordinary D&D game of our time. Demon Stone is slated for release this September.
