ATV Offroad Fury 3: Offroad Game is Off Track

Climax?s new off-road racer ATV Offroad Fury 3 looks like it could be a great game, though it has a few serious mechanics problems that could hinder it from being very fun. To begin with, there are an absolutely huge number of multiplayer modes and options. This is a great thing and will keep players entertained for a long time. Additionally, there are a full range of customization options available for your ATV, including frame, engine, tires, logos, and various other parts.

The gameplay is pretty standard racing stuff. You do the laps, you try to come in first, and you can do the typical stunts if you get enough air. There is also the twist that you find in some of these games where you can lean your vehicle in different directions to maximize performance and speed.

There are some serious problems however, mainly in the form of load time and menu lag. The menu lag is probably the worst I've ever seen. It will frequently take upwards of 5-6 seconds after a button is pressed for the menu cursor to move. It also seems far too easy to be knocked off your vehicle. These are all terrain vehicles for crying out loud. I shouldn't be thrown off for nudging the corner of a padded block. Overall, ATV: Offroad Fury 3 doesn't look terribly promising. It will probably entertain serious fans, but not many else.
