God of War Bonuses On PSP Are Fit For A God
Company: SCEA
Product: God of War: Ghost of Sparta
Did you really expect Sony to pass up an opportunity like this? For the second time now, the most angry man in history, Kratos, will be adventuring on the PlayStation Portable this November with God of War: Ghost of Sparta and Sony is treating this launch as if it were on the PlayStation 3. A bevy of pre-order bonuses and a sweet Special Edition PSP System bundle will make any God of War fan happy.

First, any gamer that pre-orders God of War: Ghost of Sparta will receive a digital bonus pack that includes tons of bonus DLC content through download vouchers. An in-game costume will be available for Kratos to use at the outset. The Legionnaire skin will transform Kratos into his human form as Legionnaire Kratos before he sold himself to Aries. The entire Ghost of Sparta original soundtrack will also be available to download and play anywhere to help anyone achieve just the right amount of fury and rage.

There will also be a slew of PlayStation Network features including an official God of War PSP theme, an offical God of War dynamic PS3 theme, and a PSN Avatar for your friends list. That's all very nice, but the biggest bonus is a Game Director commentary video from EVERY Game Director from the history of the God of War franchise in one round-table interview in front of a live audience. The Directors are:
  • David Jaffe - God of War
  • Cory Barlog - God of War II
  • Stig Asmussen - God of War III
  • Ru Weerasuiya - God of War: Chains of Olympus
  • Dana Jan - God of War: Ghost of Sparta

In addition to the sweet DLC bonuses for pre-order customers, Sony will also release a Black and Red God of War themed PSP 3000 Bundle. The bundle will include the limited edition PSP, a download voucher for God of War: Chains of Olympus, a 2 GB Memory Stick, a copy of Kick-Ass on UMD, and (of course) a copy of God of War: Ghost of Sparta on UMD.

Ready at Dawn Studios, the team behind both PSP God of War games, are making this too good of a deal to pass up. Personally, I think Chains of Olympus is the second best game in the entire franchise (after Jaffe's game) and I have no reason to doubt that God of War: Ghost of Sparta will be any less epic than its major console cousins. Pre-order your copy of God of War: Ghost of Sparta today so you won't have to race to pick it up on November 2.
