Insomniac Expands Resistance
Company: Insomniac Games
Product: Resistance Map Pack 2
Although the PS3 has seen a few great titles since release, Resistance: Fall of Man still remains one of the system's more popular ones - especially when it comes to multiplayer. In addition to releasing a number of gameplay patches that have improved the experience since launch, Insomniac has also released a series of map packs to further enhance the fun.

Recently released on the PlayStation Network, the second map pack adds two more maps to the game, Bracknell and Axbridge. Though the two maps don't bring any new gameplay enhancements or modes (though the recently released Patch 6 does include a number of tweaks), they do provide some new experiences and give longtime players new territory to explore.

The first map, Bracknell, is a dark interior environment that takes place around an abandoned railway station. The design is based on a single-player level and features a Chimeran node and Widowmaker breeding ground. The map is built more for close-quarters battles, giving players a reason to brandish the shotgun. Bracknell also features a vertical component.

The second, Axbridge, is also built for close-quarters combat, but features several areas ideal for snipers. Unlike Bracknell, Axbridge isn't based on an existing environment and is perfectly balanced for online matches.

Similar to Camborne and Westmoreland, the maps that came with the first map pack, Bracknell and Axbridge are scaleable and can be used in all available match types.

The second Resistance: Fall of Man map pack is available for purchase on the PlayStation Network. The first map pack is also required if you want to use the new maps.
