PSP Power Solution
Score: 96%
Developer: Mad Catz
Device Type: Power

Function:

Mad Catz introduces the PSP Power Solution to serve as a solution for pretty much most of your PSP powering needs. Specifically, power for those times when you don?t have access to an AC outlet and, perhaps, even a car outlet!

While the included AC Adapter provides power and the ability to charge your PSP while in a car (or boat, with a 12-volt accessory outlet), the included Battery Pack allows you to run your PSP off of four AAA batteries! (Please use rechargeables to help protect the environment.)

As a bonus, the PSP Power Solution also includes six UMD cases.

Performance:

The AC Adapter works splendidly, and much like one would expect. There is a red LED light that indicates when it is receiving power, and your PSP also indicates that it is receiving power via its charging light when charging your PSP with the Car Adapter. The Car Adapter can be used for playing your PSP or can charge your PSP up in two hours. You can play with your PSP while it is charging, but it may take longer than two hours to achieve a complete charge in this case.

If you?re not around even a car?s DC outlet, your last hope is to grab for your Battery Pack. It takes four AAA batteries and allows you to keep playing after your PSP?s battery is fully depleted.

Drawbacks & Problems::

The PSP Power Solution doesn?t include AAA batteries, and you?ll need four to use the Battery Pack. I suggest using rechargeable batteries, as it will help protect the environment by reducing hazardous waste and will also be cheaper for you in the long run.

The Car Adapter is the star of this show. You can now make your car your mobile base of operations and be able to charge your PSP on the go or watch movies and play games on those long trips.

The PSP Power Solution is not everything you might want and/or need for your PSP, but it does take care of your power-related needs, and that?s all it claims to do. As a bonus, you get six UMD cases. Not a bad deal.
