Scorpion PSX
Score: 99%
Developer: Nyko
Device Type: Controller

Function:

If you have somewhat large hands as I do, they will thank you for picking up the Scorpion PSX. The only thing that takes some getting used to is that the lower shoulder buttons (L2 and R2) are shaped like triggers. I find this to be a welcomed innovation, but others may have to warm up to it. All in all, if you are familiar with Dual Shock analog controllers, this one won?t be hard to learn to use.

Performance:

The Scorpion PSX has very good control. With Dual Shock compatibility, turbo, and auto-fire features, in addition to a nicely designed analog controller, smooth, comfortable control is the name of the game. The Scorpion PSX has a unique design which fits well in the hand; comfortable enough for hours of serious game play. The turbo feature can be set for each button individually, allowing you to choose what action you want repeated in rapid succession. The Nyko Scorpion PSX has quickly become on of my favorite controllers.

Features:
  • Dual Shock compatible
  • Analog/Digital modes (switch selectable)
  • Dual analog with push-down buttons
  • Indepedent Turbo button with LED indicator
  • Unique, innovative ergonomic design
  • 6?3? cord

Drawbacks & Problems::

There are no real problems to speak of. The D-pad is a little awkward feeling after using other companies? variants on the theme. But the Scorpion PSX has good response. Simply put, the Nyko Scorpion PSX is well-designed. Kudos to Nyko for straying from the norm and creating an original design for their Dual Shock compatible controller.
