Wrist Rumbler
Score: 99%
Developer: Mad Catz
Device Type: Accessory

Function:

The Mad Catz Wrist Rumbler uses two AAA batteries to power its feedback motor... and has a pass-through connection for your controller. It looks like you should be able to chain them ?Christmas tree light?-style to use more than one Wrist Rumbler. The feedback is nice, being comparable to the feedback of dual shock compatible controllers. (Got a non-force feedback steering wheel? Just wrap one of these babies around the wheel or attach it firmly to some point on the wheel and viola! It?s like dual shock compatibility in a box!)

Performance:

Insert batteries. Plug into PSX. Plug controller in. Turn on. Put Velcro strap on arm (or elsewhere). Play game. Thank you for flying Wrist Rumbler Airlines...

The Wrist Rumbler is a fun game enhancer meant to shake you up a little. You won?t have any problem using it for hours and hours unless the nylon strap bothers you. If it does, move it... or loosen it. In any case, this can make your out-of-date, favorite controller more fun by adding the flavor of dual shock compatibility.

Features:
  • Plug-through design
  • Easy to use
  • On/Off switch on unit
  • 6?9? cord

Drawbacks & Problems::

The only real drawback here is the batteries... HOWEVER, if it didn?t have its own batteries, then using multiple Wrist Rumblers together would put undue stress on the PSX. So, in that light, the use of batteries must be considered a design necessity... a (possibly regretful) unavoidable decision. Other than that, the Wrist Rumbler seems to be perfect.

Suggested Use:
I have had excellent results wrapping the Mad Catz Wrist Rumbler around Act Labs? RS steering wheel. The perfect steering wheel made better; quite possibly the perfect setup to use while you wait for Act Labs to release the Force RS.
