Previously on Minecraft: Story Mode:
With the previous episode wrapping up the series' inaugural arch, where this final episode would take the series was in question by a lot of the game's fans. Well, Minecraft: Story Mode - Episode 5: Order Up! takes place some short time after Jessie and friends defeat the Wither Storm and have been declared the new Order of the Stone. With that big win under their belt, the group is moving on to new adventures, and with those adventures comes fame and great loot.

It doesn't seem like a lot of your choices from the previous four episodes have any real effect on Order Up!. There are a few aesthetic items like the armor you chose, but as far as consequences to your past decisions, those don't seem to be too prominent. That's one of the reasons Episode 5 feels more like the start of a new season of the game, rather than the wrapping up of the first one. The other cause for that is the fact that there are three new episodes planned to be released that look to continue the story arch kicked off in Order Up!, but more on that later.

A New Order:
Minecraft: Story Mode - Episode 5: Order Up! shows us that the new Order of the Stone has been busy since the Wither Storm ended. While this episode starts off with the group exploring a strange new temple, fancy enchanted weapons, and stronger plans, while facing that temple's mobs show that this is far from the group's first (second or third) rodeo.

It seems Ivor has tipped the group off to this temple, and when they return with the strange treasure they find in its depths, the estranged member of the original Order gets really, really, like annoyingly excited and demands that a new mission be started right away.

A New Mission:
Unfortunately, not all of the new Order of the Stone is present when Ivor wants to set off. Actually, it's just Jessie and Petra. The two won't be alone though, since Minecraft: Story Mode - Episode 5: Order Up! also brings back Lukas, fresh from an adventure of his own, and of course Ivor himself insists on coming.

As the gang examines the temple further, Ivor tells them about a mythical item called the Eversource, which, reportedly, can provide an unlimited amount of resources and it is what gave a race of ancient builders the abilities they had to create impressive structures. Just when Jessie and friends stumble upon a strange looking portal, Lukas' former teammates, the Ocelots (though, under a new name) show up and jump through the portal before Jessie's group has a chance to see what is on the other side.

Sky City:
What Jessie, Petra, Lukas, and Ivor find on the other side of the portal is a strange city on an island in the sky. While the opulent structure hints at the existence of the Eversource, the strange laws that drastically restrict any kind of building seem to note otherwise. It seems that The Founder has put in strict rules about the allocation of resources, primarily because of the fact that the city is located on a floating island and anything that falls over the edge is lost forever. Now Jessie and friends have to not only figure out where the Ocelots have gone, but also find a way back - plus, if they can figure out the secret of the Eversource, they might get a nifty new item to put in the Order of the Stone's treasure room.

Of course, as a Telltale game, there are going to be quite a few choices thrown at you, and given the city's odd situation, those choices could result in some interesting conclusions. However, like most of the Minecraft: Story Mode choices, don't expect most of these to be the big moral dilemmas of some of Telltale's more dramatic pieces. This is still, mostly, a kid's game.

Next Time on Minecraft: Story Mode:
Minecraft: Story Mode - Episode 5: Order Up! isn't the end of the Minecraft: Story Mode ... err... story. Telltale has announced DLC containing new adventures for Jessie and his/her friends. Unfortunately, revealing what little information we know about the future episodes also means exposing a fun twist, so I won't be going into much detail here.

I will say that, while Order Up! feels very one-off, which makes sense since the main story finished in four episodes instead of five, the addition of the next three could mean that this adventure isn't just a one-and-done, but actually the start of a bigger story. It's just a matter of how well the storytellers tie the events in Sky City to the new episodes. Time will tell.
