If you were waiting to see what NUON, the enhanced DVD format from VM Labs would bring into the console gaming arena, you can stop holding your breath. NUON enhanced DVD players will have very flexible GUIs for playing DVDs, allowing both customization by DVD manufacturer and by DVD content developers. NUON DVD players will be Internet aware, allowing for broadband access ala set top box. NUON will allow for high-end features such as zooming in on video, manipulation of alpha levels and contrast, and much much more. It will even play games. But, that's about how much focus VM Labs is giving the games part. Yes, there will be games that can be played on the NUON enhanced DVD players... but these will be targeted to more 'mainstream' audiences.
