FIRST LOOK:
LUCAS ARTS' STAR FIGHTER

Are you like me, and are counting the days until October 26th when the new Playstation 2 comes out? LucasArts understands your anticipation because they have always embraced the newest technologies, so they can give their customers the best product possible. At this years E3 convention, LucasArts announced its first Star Wars title for the new system, Star Wars Episode 1: Star Fighter.

Star Fighter will take full advantage of the new system ands it's 128-bit graphics by offering more than 20 realistic and beautifully rendered 3D starships in 14 different environments that will include both air and space.

In a flight adventure that is story driven, you will assume the role of one of three pilots that have an unlikely alliance with each other. No matter which character you choose to play as, you must be able to work with the other pilots to outwit the villains from the Trade Federation.

Although the game uses key elements from Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, the story line is completely original. With the progression of successive missions, your skill level increases. It better, because you are going to need a lot of skills and experience to reach what is called Master Starfighter. When you reach this level, you will open new story elements, characters and locations.

With the new PlayStation 2, and the quality of the artists at LucasArts, Star Fighter promises some of the most realistic and enthralling gameplay offered today.
