Onimusha: Warlords is an epic saga of 16th century Japan, a time of warlords and great power stuggles. Onimusha: Warlords is an ambitious project which will take advantage of the power of the PlayStation 2. Character models in the game will have around 10,000 polygons each, for realistic detail and animation. An innovative special effects technology will allow for a higher level of detail in animated backgrounds than ever before. Onimusha: Warlods will boast motion picture quality production, a five minute opening sequence FMV, a 200-piece orchestra to perform the original musical score, a dramatic storyline (from Flagship - the talent behind Resident Evil 2), and the voice and likeness of famous Japanese actor Takeshi Kaneshiro. (Takeshi even lent his talents in designing a few boss characters!) Also, Onimusha: Warlords will feature a unique 'gem'-based weapons system. Players will obtain gems that add various effects such as fire, thunder and wind to selected weapons, and may also be used to solve puzzles in the game.Onimusha: Warlords is expected to carry a ESRB 'Mature' rating.
