DEATHMATCH IN THE WORLD OF MIGHT AND MAGIC

Legends of Might and Magic, which 3DO announced would be released in Fall 2000, will hopefully pick up the ball from where Crusaders of Might and Magic dropped it in the world of action/combat role-playing in the Might and Magic world. It promises up to six players cooperatively, or 16 in deathmatch, and is going to use the LithTech 2.0 engine as its renderer. Enemies, skills, spells -- they're all there in their role-playing glory. It seems that 3DO wants to make cooperative play the main gist of the game, where a party roams around and can play the game 'normal-style', or do a Chocobo's Magical Dungeon-esque Random Dungeon style, or basic Arena Combat. Special levels exist for Deathmatch. Various classes and skills await your characters. This game promises to be an interesting one, but 3DO will have to be careful not to make the same mistakes with it that they made with Crusaders. Nonetheless, it's one for both RPG fans and action fans to watch out for.
