Mmm...Diablo II

Blizzard was showing off Diablo II, and impressing everyone with their insanely huge final beta test -- 100,000 players beating the crap out of each other on battle.net in a sort of stress test to end all stress tests. Everyone's been waiting for this game like no tomorrow, and it looks like it's going to deliver on all of its promises. You can play as five different characters (Amazons, Sorceresses (Sorceressi?), Paladins, Necromancers, and Barbarians), wander around in the wilderness that was notably lacking in the first Diablo, and participate in plenty of that old-fashioned dungeon-crawling. Diablo is back, of course, along with Mephisto and Baal to wreck havoc on the world. There are scads of skills that each character class can learn, making it possible to make each character truly unique. I'd say we should watch out for this one, but I don't need to; everyone's already waiting with bated breath. I, for one, can't wait.
