FIRST LOOK:
COMMAND & CONQUER RENEGADE

Westwood allowed a sneak peak at it's new smash for the winter, Command & Conquer Renegade at the 2000 E3 conference. Renegade puts you on the Command & Conquer battlefield as Havoc, the one-man army made famous in the original Command & Conquer strategy game. In this 3-D action game, instead of commanding troops from afar, you'll be on the battlefield, in the middle of the war. As the Global Defense Initiative's last, best hope for victory, you'll wage war against the diabolical Brotherhood of Nod using not only a vast array of weapons, but more than a dozen vehicles from the Command & Conquer universe. You'll be able to zip around on a rocket bike, fry enemies with a flame tank or throw down death from above in an Orca Fighter. Use Havoc to plant C4 explosives, call in air strikes or snipe enemy troops from afar. You decide what it takes to get the job done. Command & Conquer Renegade promises an intense multi-player experience with a variety of team play options as well as death-match variations. Multi-play will be supported through Westwood Online, an online gaming service with more than one million members.

One of the key features includes a third- or first-person gaming perspective. In Command & Conquer Renegade, Westwood and EA have decided to jump from the real time strategy genre and dive into the first person shooter realm. Command & Conquer Renegade promises to deliver a great shooter, using names and equipment that we have all some to know and love from the C&C series.
