MOLYNEUX STRIKES AGAIN
We've been drooling over this game for a long time now, and with its
planned ship date of Winter 2000, Black and White is looking better than
ever. It's an . . . er . . . well, it's a God Game, in the grand tradition
of Molyneux God Games, only it's promising ten times the coolness of
Populous and its brothers. A classic tale of good versus evil, Black and
White pits you against another god to rule the world. You have an avatar --
a creature that you must raise and nurture -- and the way you treat the
avatar defines what sort of god you are and, in effect, the way the game is
played. Treating it kindly will make you good. Making it a destructive
beast of doom will, on the other hand, slap you on the path of evil. There
will be puzzles and quests throughout the world, and you'll have to use your
smarts to figure out how to solve them. And then the other gods appear, and
there is only one solution. One god to rule them all . . . but will it be
you? This game promises so much, but Molyneux is known for delivering.
Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes peeled.
