OPERATION:

Saitek At E3 2003

DATE: 2003-05-27 00:06:50

Saitek announced this year that there's some changes to watch for - in particular, they were proud to announce that their new President and CEO is none other that William M. McMahon, Jr., previously the Presdient of the Arrow/Wyle Computer Products Group. Saitek is looking forward towards his skilled direction.

Meanwhile, Saitek continues to provide a nice selection of interesting PC controllers this year, from their economic joystick, the ST90, to their upcoming Cyborg Evo joystick. The ST90 has retractable tripod legs which allow for easy storage and make it look like something out a sci-fi movie. The Cyborg Evo is feature-rich and has a good number of adjustments that allow for a comfortable grip for a wide variety of gamers (either right or left handed). Also for the PC, Saitek has a new racing wheel with an easy-to-use clamping mechanism that takes up about 1/3 of the deskspace typically needed for a steering wheel controller. The R100 USB Racing Wheel is scheduled to shp this fall at a MSRP of $29.95 USD.

Saitek has some interesting console products as well, such as their RX600 Wireless Wheel for the PlayStation, PSOne and PS2, the 'Adrenaline' Wheels for the Xbox (with or without pedals) and the ambidextrous Adrenaline Joystick for the Xbox.

Stay tuned for full reviews of the Saitek lineup in the near future...
