Part Tomb Raider, part Metal Gear, Rogue Ops is the story of a former Special Forces agent thrust back into the life she left behind. After attempting to get back to a normal life with her family, Nikki Connor is thrown back into the life of secret agent when a rogue terrorist group murders her husband and child. After investigating the circumstances of her husband's death, Nikki learns that he was leading a double life as a secret agent for a group known as Phoenix. With nothing left to live for, Nikki joins Phoenix as a covert op in order take down the group that stole her life.
Although the game has a decidedly Tomb Raider design to it, Rogue Ops relies heavily on stealth. Unlike other action games, a good part of the game?s missions will relay on remaining undetected. Hiding in shadows and boxes, hanging from ceilings ? whatever it takes. Hiding won?t be easy though, because enemy AI will be ever vigilant, and won?t hesitate to investigate anything out of the ordinary. This will mean players will have to get creative when covering up their trail, such as hiding bodies, avoid leaving blood trails and attention to detail when removing and replacing evidence.
When stealth doesn?t cut it, Nikki will have access to an extensive arsenal or weapons including pistols, sniper rifles, machine guns and mines. She will also have the latest spy gadgets in her bag of tricks, like thermal optical camouflage, adrenaline boosts, and a grappling hook.
A cinematically scored soundtrack and realistic audio effects will also accompany Nikki?s eight action-packed levels, and help to elevate the intensity of the experience.
