Multiple known mascots are always a fun thing to have for games. Think about it, where would Nintendo be if it didn't have the likes of Mario, Star Fox or Link to put into games? So when you have a license like Cartoon Network, which has more mascots that Auburn University, that's always a good thing. At this year's E3, Majesco announced that it has picked up the rights to Cartoon Network and will feature the network's cast of well-known mascots in two upcoming games for the GBA.

The first of these two games is Cartoon Network Speedway, a kart racing game featuring popular Cartoon Network characters like Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken and Courage the Cowardly Dog. The game will feature 12 courses on which players will have to perform stunts and maneuvers to win the highest Star Rating from the audience. By gaining high ratings, players will have access to hidden surprises like unlockable characters. The game will offer three race types, Quick Race, Championship and Challenge, and over 15 different types of power-ups like custard pie mines, wiener missiles, portable holes and pork butts. The game will also sport a unique 'sidekick system' in which players will able to pick up their character's sidekick in order to gain special powers. For example, if Johnny Bravo picks up Suzy, he'll earn a boost in speed, invulnerability and double Star Rating awards.

Developed by Monkeystone Games, Cartoon Network Block Party is the second title to be released from Majesco. In Block Party, players will compete in various 'party style' games in order to earn money for a new game room at Cartoon Network. Players will have to master four boards themed after popular Cartoon Network shows: Cow and Chicken, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Johnny Bravo. Each board will contain 21 unique mini-games such as target shooting and skateboarding, and will complete a board after reaching the 'Goal Square' with all of that board's goal conditions met. The game will also feature a 3D rendered cel-shaded look, as well as cinematic cut scenes between gameplay. Unlockable boards, characters and mini-games will help extend the game's replay value.

Both games are slated to ship this fall.
