TV Shows And War

DATE: 2003-05-21 22:53:56

Of all the companies at Take 2?s booth, Gotham definitely had the most diverse set of games around. MTV?s Celebrity Deathmatch was there, and looking better than ever. Starsky and Hutch rounded out the TV licenses with a shoot?em?up car chasing game. On the other side of things, Conflict Desert Storm 2: Back to Baghdad and The Great Escape provided plenty of war time action.

Everybody?s favorite Deathmatch celebrities are finally making their way off the boob tube and onto every console available, as well as the PC. For those of you who haven?t seen this game in action, the graphics have gotten almost to the point of mistaking them for the real deal. Over 15 different stars, including greats such as Marilyn Manson, Mr. T, Ron Jeremy, and Carrot Top just to name a few, will all be available for a gruesome fight to the death in the ring. Celebrity Deathmatch will also feature a cool create?a?player mode, so make sure to check this game out upon its release this Fall.

Starsky and Hutch are now appearing in their own video game. You heard me right. This popular police show from all those decades ago is now going to be adorning your PS2, Xbox, and PC this fall. The game is mission based, and you perform these missions while you are in the car with your partner leaning out the window and gunning down anything that opposes the law. This can also be done via two player with a light gun and a steering wheel, while one player drives and the other shoots.

For those requiring a little more action in their lives, Conflict Desert Storm 2: Back to Baghdad may be just the title you have been looking for. This squad-based desert combat simulator now lets you not only take America?s elite into battle, but also the SAS, Britain?s number one military unit.

Stepping away from the violence of war and into the clandestine operations of prison break-outs, The Great Escape recreates the classic Steve McQueen movie of the 1950?s. This WWII era jailbreak title will resurrect the famous actor as the mastermind behind the most daring prison escape ever portrayed. Steve's likeness and voice where used in the game, so be on the lookout for it this Fall.
