Just when you thought it was safe to get back on the roads, Homer and family are behind the wheel once again. The Simpsons Hit & Run, slated for release in September 2003 on the PS2, Xbox and GameCube, looks to bring all the fun and excitement of mission-based driving back to next gen consoles everywhere - all with that wicked Simpsons-style twist. Fox and VU Games have hooked up once again to bring us yet another driving adventure with everybody's favorite cartoon family, The Simpsons.

The story surrounds missing persons, crop circles, hidden cameras - wait, is this the X Files or The Simpsons? But anyway, Homer and friends are out to solve the mystery and to do so, they'll do whatever it takes, be it in a vehicle or on foot. That's right, you heard me. This go round, you get mission-based driving and out-of-the-car adventures. Players can control Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa and Apu as well as others at locations like the Kwik E Mart, Moe's Tavern and the Springfield Power Plant.

Fans of the show will appreciate the voiceovers of original cast members and the brand new story written by writers of the show, so The Simpsons Hit & Run will be dripping with authentic goodness. Plus, its being developed by Radical Entertainment, the same guys who did Simpsons Road Rage, so you know it'll be good.

Look for The Simpsons Hit & Run to come roaring into your town in September 2003!
