Metal Arms Makes Heads Turn

Vivendi Universal is about to release a Mech game with a couple of twists. The main twist in Metal Arms seems to deal with the storyline. In Metal Arms you are not playing a Mech pilot, you are the Mech. You take on the role of Glitch, a sentient bot bent on overthrowing the malicious ruler of your planet.

As you travel across the 50 missions on or around the planet Iron Star and hunt down General Corrosive, you will have to snipe enemy Mechs, sneak around, solve puzzles and of course shoot any enemy Mechs (called Mils) that you happen to find.

Glitch will have 18 weapons, four vehicles and several other power-ups at his disposal. The development team of Swingin’ Apes has also allowed you to possess and play as one of 12 other friendly and enemy robots, and these robots even include bosses. There will even be three multiplayer modes to Metal Arms, one of which is Death Match.

Metal Arms is scheduled to be released this November with a shelf price of $49.99 and will be out for the Xbox and GameCube.
